PICTURE: πŸ“Έ

Cookies make me happy! Mexican cookies are not a treat I get often enough!

I took a picture of my coffee and the cookies offered aboard the flight to Denver this week. Aeromexico also offers in-seat entertainment, I steamed "Anatomy of a Fall," a fantastic two-and-a-half-hour foreign film that took up most of my flight.

OPTIMISM: πŸ’–

"I am fundamentally an optimist. Whether that comes from nature or nurture, I cannot say. Part of being optimistic is keeping one's head pointed toward the sun, one's feet moving forward."

β€” Nelson Mandela

HOMEWORK: πŸ“

Spread the Word: Did you know that Latino voter turnout increased by 30% in the last election? Keep the momentum going by talking to at least one family member or friend about the importance of voting. Encourage them to check their registration status too! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

OTHER STUFF: πŸ“’

Speaking of bicultural, and binational, a few people have messaged me with excitement about the proposed San Diego - Ensenada Ferry. Though there still aren't too many details to share from the operator Azteca Ferries's website we can deduce that it'll be a very similar experience to the privatized port of entry at the Tijuana Airport, aka CBX. I welcome the possibility of jumping on a ship and then transferring right into a Baja Wine Tour without having to deal with any of the driving or anxieties of crossing the busiest border in the world. More to come!
