PICTURE: πŸ“Έ

Last weekend I headed to Isla Mujeres for a dual birthday celebration.

I took a picture from the hotel just after a tropical downpour. My thoughts are with the people of Quintana Roo, Yucantan, and TX as Hurricane Baryle moves through this weekend.

OPTIMISM: πŸ’–

"Summer is a time for adventures, for making memories, and for finding the beauty in every moment."

COOL FIND: πŸ•΅πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

image If you pay attention to my social life, you may have noticed my breaks in drinking - they're self-imposed time-outs from alcohol. From 30 days, 6 months to indefinitely (my longest stretch was 18 months) I feel good saying no. NOTHING BAD has ever come from stopping. This morning's NY Times podcast, The Daily had a great episode on the topic. How Bad is Drinking for You, Really? I might just go back to NO alcohol. Check out, and tell me if you'll join me.

HOMEWORK: πŸ“

Multilingual Picnic in the Park: Pack a picnic basket with a variety of multicultural snacks and treats, and head to a local park for a leisurely picnic with friends or family. Practice speaking different languages and share stories about your diverse backgrounds while enjoying nature. 🧺🌳
