A forest in the middle of the city ✨
I took a picture of a sliver of El Bosque de Chapultepec while in traffic in Polanco. The "Forest" is one of the largest Nature Value Areas in Mexico, measuring just over 866 hectares in total, roughly 2,140 acres.

🎧 Learning Beyond the Headlines
I’ll admit it—there’s a lot I don’t know about the trans community, especially when it comes to healthcare for young people. With all the sensational headlines and harmful legislation flying around, it’s hard to separate fact from fear-mongering. That’s why I dove right into The Protocol, a six-part podcast that breaks it all down: how gender-affirming care began, the impact it’s had, and the political battles now threatening it. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, human-centered way to better understand what’s at stake—especially during Pride Month—this is a great place to start. 🏳️⚧️🎙️💡

Practice Affirmations: This week, it's easy, pick your favorite from above or create an original one to practice saying aloud starting now. You can do it!
OTHER STUFF: 📢
🎶 Rosie Was the Original
Before Spotify and TikTok, a teen from my hometown, National City, wrote Angel Baby—and changed music forever! Rosie Hamlin’s voice became an anthem for generations of Chicanos, and her story is full of fight, pride, and puro corazón. This week, our local public radio station profiled Rosie and left me feeling proud and nostalgic, too!

PS --Thanks to a Pocho Stuff supporter in Los Angeles, for pointing out my error in referring to JuanGa as openly gay, he wasn't! Here is a bonus clip about him and his fashion, which may have influenced Benson Booner and Harry Styles! Thanks for the fact check, Lucero!
