Hand-pressed vs machine-made.

I took a picture of a stack of steaming tortillas made at my local tortilleria just down the block. If I won the lottery, I'd love to put one of these machines in every neighborhood so that pochos like you and I can access freshly made tortillas. Walking distance would be a major bonus!

A quote about art as a movement:

"The role of the artist is that of a soldier of the revolution."

COOL FIND: 🕵🏽‍♂️

Netflix Goes Big in Mexico!

This just in: Netflix is investing a whopping $1B in Mexico over the next four years to boost local film and TV production, including a major upgrade to Churubusco Studios! This bold move is all about celebrating our creative spirit and giving Mexican talent a global stage. What do you think about our favorite streaming giant going all-in on homegrown talent? Did you catch Club de Cuervos? Shoot me your binge-worthy recommendations.

Vanguard x SD Art Advisory Party

Big love and props to Alexander Salazar, friend, and supporter of all things POCHO, who was just featured on the local Fox morning show! He’s teaming up with Vanguard Culture for a killer new art and music space in Mission Hills, and the grand opening party is this Saturday, February 22nd.
