Hello ,
This week, I want to share something that started with a simple moment at home.
I was speaking with my daughter, and she asked me if I was tired.
My response came immediately: “I am not tired. I am strong, and I can do all things.”
We live in a world that is constantly asking us to validate how we feel and everything going on around us.
And yes—there is a place to validate how you feel.
But there is also a place to watch what you say about yourself and to choose the right perspective in spite of what you’re going through.
How many of you have gone through a moment where things were truly difficult, but because you chose to have a positive mindset and confessed the right words, got up, and picked yourself up, it suddenly didn’t seem as bad as it first felt?
You chose joy over sadness.
That is exactly what I’m saying here.
The world is asking us to validate ourselves by what we say:
“I’m tired because I feel tired.”
“I’m tired because I’ve waited for something and it still hasn’t happened.”
But this week, I want to challenge you not to respond with how you feel, but to respond from a deeper place.
I challenge you to speak a positive view about what you are going through. You must understand that it is just a season. It will pass. And because you know it will pass, it is why you must choose to say:
“Let the weak say, I am strong.”
“Let the poor say, I am rich.”
Some people may call it ignorance, but let me tell you something: I am choosing what I say about what I see right now. Yes, the obvious is there. Things may be present that should make me tired, but my opinion is:
“I am strong,” because that strength is what I need to carry on.
The obvious is there. I should be tired. But I must choose to be strong in God. I must choose my perspective wisely and say what I want to see about myself, because that strength is what will move me into the next moment.
So as we go into the rest of the year, choose what you want to say. Choose how you want to respond.
Let the weak say, “I am strong.”
I am strong because indeed we are strong. We are stronger than we know because we have the power of Christ in us.
Let the weak say, “I am strong.”
That is my message for this week.
Have a fantastic week. It is not written in the Bible casually — “Let the weak say, I am strong” — it is written so that you can choose a different mindset about what you see.
What are you seeing, and what are you saying about what you see?
Have a great week.
Take Care,
Olamidotun.
