{{contact.first_name}}, As Long As There Is Life…

Hello ,

Life is the most important thing we have.

As long as there is breath in you.

As long as you wake up and can breathe, there is a reason to be thankful.

It sounds simple, but sometimes it takes a pause, or even a disruption, to truly remember that.

This week was one of those weeks for me.

Like many of us, I had a long list of things to do. It’s two weeks to the end of the year, and my mind was full of deadlines, plans, responsibilities.

As a mum of three, I kept telling myself that everything had to be perfect. The timing. The plans. Christmas. Life.

But then something happened that immediately shifted my perspective.

I was driving, thinking about everything I needed to get done, with my toddler in the back seat. Then suddenly, I was hit from behind. A car accident.

Instantly, the million things on my to-do list didn’t matter anymore.

What mattered was that my daughter was okay.
What mattered was that I was okay.
What mattered was that life was preserved.

Yes, the car was damaged. Yes, I ended up in the hospital — nothing severe, thank God — but that moment reminded me just how thin the line between life and everything else truly is.

And it made me stop and ask: What is really important?

As we approach the end of the year, so many of us are focused on what must be perfect. We are too busy with the plans, the celebrations, the expectations, the comparisons. But when you experience moments that remind you how fragile life can be, you realize that as long as there is life, there is enough.

This week is Christmas week. And it’s important to remember that Christmas is not about perfection. It’s not about the gifts, the food, the decorations, or the image of a perfect life.

Christmas is about Christ. It’s about giving. It’s about gratitude for life itself.

Someone gave. Someone thought of you. Someone chose life for you.

So don’t look at your life and say, “I’m still where I was last year.”

Your life is exactly where it needs to be right now.

As long as there is breath in you, there are many reasons to be thankful.

This week, choose gratitude.

This week, stay focused.

This week, remind yourself: As long as there is life, I will be thankful.

I share more of this reflection in the short video — I encourage you to watch it when you can.

Have a beautiful week.

With love,

Olamidotun

P.S.: Feel free to forward this to someone who needs a little reminder and encouragement.

🎥 This week’s short video is to elaborate more on what I went through earlier this week and my insistence that as long as there is life…
