Hello ,
We all need a circle.
I need a circle. You need a circle.
A circle of support. A circle that carries us. A circle that reminds us that we are not alone.
This past weekend was one of those weekends that stays with you. As I think about it now, I smile.
I spent time with two very different groups of people, and yet both reminded me of something powerful: support often shows up in ways we don’t even realize we need.
On Friday, I spent time with parents from my daughter’s soccer team. We laughed, we talked, we danced a little, and in that moment I became aware of something. The pressure of being a sports parent can be a lot. The schedules, the expectations, the constant showing up. But celebrating together reminded me that even in the pressure, I am not carrying it alone.
Then came Saturday.
I spent time with friends I hadn’t seen in a long while, along with their friends. We talked about the year ahead, about 2025, about life, growth, and all that God has done—even in seasons where we weren’t physically present in each other’s lives. It was beautiful to see how much had changed, how much had grown, and how much grace had carried us.
As the evening came to an end, we formed a circle.
We stood elbow to elbow, shoulder to shoulder, and we prayed for the person next to us.
And that moment stayed with me.
Why elbow to elbow? Because it creates a connection that reminds you that even when you feel weak, the person beside you can carry you. Even when you feel unsure, someone else’s strength can hold you steady.
As we approach the end of the year, I want to encourage you to look back.
Look back at the relationships that carried you.
The friends you may not have seen often.
The people who helped you, and the ones you helped along the way.
Celebrate them.
And as you look ahead into the new year, be intentional. Be strategic about the relationships you take with you.
God never promised that we wouldn’t face challenges. But He did promise to be with us. And often, He shows up through the people around us.
God may not walk beside us physically, but He walks through community.
That is why you need a circle.
No matter how small it is, celebrate it. Be thankful for it. Remember that you are not alone.
With just two weeks left in the year, take stock. Pause. Celebrate your circle.
Have a fantastic week.
Take Care,
Olamidotun.
P.S.: Feel free to forward this to someone who needs a little reminder and encouragement.
