Hello ,
What is your biggest excuse?
Take a moment to think about that question.
Now, imagine multiplying that excuse by ten.
Well, that’s someone else’s story right now, and yet they’re still showing up. Still pushing forward. Still telling themselves they can do it.
You’ve probably seen videos of people doing extraordinary things. Especially those who have only one arm or one leg, yet they’re running, creating, thriving. Every time I see those moments, I pause and ask myself… What is my excuse?
As a child, I struggled with asthma. My mother was so protective that she wouldn’t let me take part in any sport that started with the letter “S” — swimming, soccer, sprinting — because every attempt ended in a hospital visit.
For her, it wasn’t fear, it was survival.
For me, it was limitation.
But over time, through prayer and persistence, I began to see that what once limited me could become the very thing that pushed me forward. I refused to let that chapter define my future.
This past weekend, I ran my seventh half-marathon.
And as I crossed the finish line, I remembered the little girl who wasn’t allowed to swim or run. I thought to myself, What is my excuse now?
I realized that our excuses often hide our greatest potential. Every time I face something I think I can’t do, I turn it into a prayer point. “Lord, help me through this.” And time after time, I see grace fill the gaps where strength once failed.
So this week, I want to ask you again: What is your excuse?
Maybe it’s time to stop calling it an excuse and start calling it your next prayer point. Ask God to turn it around, to transform it, to help you rise above it. Because He can. And He will.
We are born for great things. You are capable of so much more than you think.
No more excuses — only prayer, progress, and purpose.
Have a fantastic week, and remember that I’m always cheering for you. 💛
Take care,
Olamidotun.

Affirmation for the week
“My limits are not my identity
they are invitations to grow.
Every challenge I face can
become a prayer point.
I am capable, equipped, and
strengthened by grace.
I will not let excuses hold me back
from what I am called to do.
I am made for great things
and I’m walking boldly into them.”
