Hello ,
This week, I found myself thinking about growth and how it doesn’t always look or feel like we expect it to.
But know this… you are growing, whether you see it or not.
I was reminded of this as I attended a women’s conference online, and what I would say is my eighth or ninth one overall.
Wimbiz has always been very pivotal for me. I’ve been attending since the year before I left my job in 2016. That year marked a turning point in my journey as it was one where I started to meet many women who began to inspire me, women who were walking similar paths of faith, purpose, and growth.
And as I look back, I realize how much has happened since then.
In these eight or nine years, I’ve written children’s books, grown Filii Magna Immigration Consultancy to where it is today, started several businesses, launched a foundation, and led several other projects, from medical outreaches to creative ventures.
If I were to sit down every day and count these things, I might not even realize how much I’ve grown. But when I pause to reflect, it’s clear that growth has been happening all along.
That’s the thing about growth, it doesn’t always shout. It happens quietly, as you keep showing up.
Every day you rise, every time you try again, every time you choose to believe, you are growing. You may not always see the long strides, but each small step counts.
So, as I think about my own journey… nine years since I left full-time paid employment, now sitting here as a Wimbiz Life Member, having served on committees, streamed conferences, and connected deeply with women who inspire me, I’m amazed.
Not because I focus on progress every single day, but because I keep picking myself up and moving forward.
That’s really the point I want to leave with you today is that You are growing whether you see it or not.
Don’t rush it. Don’t compare it. Just keep showing up.
Keep showing up for yourself.
You’re growing — quietly, steadily, and beautifully.
