Hey Strawberries!
Is it fall yet? I'm in the mood for spooky books, cozy sweaters, and pumpkin spice everything. Too bad Kentucky is under a heat advisory and the real feel will be over 100 degrees Fahrenheit for the foreseeable future. How does one get festive in the -ber months, when they look exactly like the summer months? My answer is just to celebrate the macabre and scary all year round. My cozy winter clothes are just as black and witchcraft-inspired as my summer wardrobe. The inside of my Kindle? Same. What about you? Are you ready for Halloween vibes or hoping summer lasts forever? The super El Niño will answer that for us. I doubt Kentucky will see snow this winter, but I hope I'm wrong.
So let's pretend it's cool enough for snuggling around the bonfire, sipping hot beverages, and cozying up with a haunted collection of tales, because today is the release day for Dark Delights. This dark, monster romance anthology is written by some of your favorite Monster Brides authors who wanted a more sinister collection of stories. My story, Not All Heroes Wear Hooker Heels, is about a medical student who gets thrown into the world of monster wrestling. Her skills suggest she's a healer, but her humanity makes her a prize for the winner of the semi-final match. Unbeknownst to Avery, who thinks it's all an elborate DND game gone too far, she's about to be torn in two by a troll's rut rage. As long as he's in his deep healing sleep, she's safe. But how long can a natural-born healer watch someone bleed to death without stepping in to help? Find out what happens to Avery in Dark Delights - now on KU.
The annual Kentuckiana Romance Writers charity anthology is up for preorder! This year we're traveling back to the 1980s to bring you steamy romances with spandex pants, big hair, and mall culture. Go retro with S. Cinders, Carly Bryant, Rebecca Jose, Andrea Janelle, Eva Vertrice, and me as we raise money for our nonprofit organization. My story, Independence on a Stick, is an alien romance with all the cheesy movie vibes of the 1980s sci-fi movies. I can't wait for you to read it.
Did you read Clutching Her Bird Twins' Pearls? Did you love it? The conclusion of the Pearl Clutchers needs your help. It sits with 2 reviews on Amazon. If you visited Leopold's house of horrors, please consider dropping stars on Amazon to improve visibility for the series. Whether you write 20 words with your opinion, drop a star rating, or write a manifesto, they are counted as one review. So don't be shy-you know Ellenore isn't-and help out our bird twins.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Lexington Book Bash and visited my table. I was overwhelmed by your friendship and support. It was my sixth year at the bash, and I'm proud to be part of the family. Mark your calendars for 7/31/2027 when the Bash moves across the street from the Hyatt to the Hilton Downtown Lexington. I'll be there with a bunch of new titles.
Speaking of new titles…I have a super secret cover reveal on my Patreon. It's for Nightmare of a Husband, a new Monster Brides standalone title coming in November of 2026. If you want a sneak peek, check it out on Patreon!
Blessed Be and Let Magic Find You!
