Hey Strawberry Fans!
Happy Birthday to me! I’ve never understood people who don’t make a big bash out of their birthday. While I grew out of the Chuck E Cheese, Show Biz Kids Place, or McPlayplace parties, I practice my favorite pastimes with my favorite people – planting flowers, eating pizza, and reading outside. Good thing I wasn’t a winter baby! Brr! Last year I added a new favorite thing – bookish contests – and this newsletter is full of them. Check it out below!
Last month was a whirlwind with my last Wylder book, Hush Little Wylder, and my fourth pirate romance, Quartermaster, released 13 days apart. I’d forgotten the ‘release day hangover’ I usually get after one book is launched. I spiraled into the doldrums after a double. I’d say I’ll never do that again but…June is looking just as busy. Strawberry Shifters book 4: Rotten Apple, Ryan’s dark fantasy, comes out on 6/7. (Preorder link coming soon!)
Then 11 days later, Terpsichore’s Temptation, the prequel to Dreamcatcher releases on 6/18. Our favorite Hawaiian Immortal, Mahaka, is the maintenance coordinator at The Wilting Fin while his shop is rebuilt (again.) Even our favorite Shaman is no match for Pika’s curse when he tries to Defy the Gods. Since Terpsichore’s Temptation is indie publishing directly from me, I can offer a 99c preorder to you as part of the Myths & Legends Book Fair.
Does anyone have tips for how to avoid post-book-release depression? Let me know by replying to this email. I’d love to hear from you! I survived March because it was #MonsterMarchMadness on TikTok. We challenged each other to read every monster romance on our TBR.
While I didn’t come close to decimating mine, I read almost 30 of them on Kindle Unlimited….if only I had paperbacks of them…but you can. Introducing the Monster Load giveaway! I’ve teamed up with 99 of my favorite monster romance authors (I’m number 100) to offer you a chance to win paperbacks! Follow the authors on the entry form to win – the more you follow the more chances…including following me on Instagram or Amazon!
But maybe you like eBooks better…I totally hear you. That’s why Cuddling My Chuchunya and Terpsichore’s Temptation are in the Love Me Some Monsters Book Fair here.
Okay, maybe you want to own a mixture of eBooks and paperbacks. You are the mood reader who likes to read your Kindle late at night without the lights and your paperback in a hammock in the afternoon. How about some book cash? I’ve teamed up with 30 other authors to offer you a chance to win a $200 gift card to Amazon. How do you enter? Follow the authors involved on Amazon. You see, some readers just want to know when the next release comes out—no social media videos, cutesy photos, or long (sorry) newsletters. I get it so I’m working hard to connect through Amazon with you. It’s easier if Alexa tells you about the next Chuchunya release day, right? Might as well win some cash while following.
Book Recs!
Everything is chugging ahead like the Little Engine That Could in Strawberry and there is SO MUCH MORE. I appreciate you coming on this journey with me and hope one of y’all wins all the prizes. Wouldn’t be awesome if I were sending YOU 20 autographed Monster Romance paperbacks? I’m giving myself the hook to save some surprises for May…like the cover reveal for Spooning My Chuchunya, ARC signups for Terpsichore’s Temptation, an Advent Calendar for Bookmas, and a new multi-author series that’s going to be amazeballs.
Blessed Be and Let Magic Find You!
