Hey Strawberry Fans!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Halloween! The leaves have turned orange, red, and gold in Strawberry, KY. The summer heat has broken—temporarily—and I’ve dragged out my sweaters. I’m sure a second summer is on the way, but I’ll enjoy my “basic girl comforts” until then. Society will have to pry my boots, sweaters, and pumpkin coffee out of my cold, dead fingers! I’m writing a little early because my family is taking our annual vacation to Hershey, PA. What better place to spend the holiday of candy than in the chocolate capital of the USA?

I’m so discombobulated with the seasons because as autumn descends around me I’m writing a summer romance. Summer in the Arctic. That’s right! Forgiving My Chuchunya takes place in late June when the Arctic Circle has 56 days of daylight. Who would be more distressed in 24 hours of daylight—the snow monster who uses the darkness to hide from humans or his human mate who uses astrology to solve all her problems?
