Dear Strawberry Fans or should I say, ‘ahoy matey,’
I’ve turned the tides to 2022 or as I have been calling it – “The Year of the Vampire.” However, I want to thank everyone who downloaded The Spy Who Was Out Cold and bought the exciting conclusion, The Spy Who Loved My Russian Tea Cakes. I have loved reading your reviews as they have appeared on Amazon. I hear you loud and clear – you are with me on the decision to write a sexy Christmas story. Of the 55 Christmas Cookie books published by The Wild Rose Press, there were 3 sexy ones…which made me so nervous. Your reviews confirm that there are readers who believe in steamy soulmates. You love the party at Cassie’s parent’s house as much as me – when I had to fight to keep it in the book. Do you agree with the reviewers on The Spy Who Loved My Russian Tea Cakes? Add your opinion so when I go to battle for your favorite characters, I have ammo.
The Walk the Walk KickStarter has launched! This means you can pre-order my new historical vampire series right now. This trilogy stars a pirate who is booted from Blackbeard’s boat, Queen Anne’s Revenge. Branko isn’t on board with being sold into slavery for his Captain’s mercury treatments. When the dock at Charles Town Harbor, he jumps onto the next sloop to sail away…once he figures out what to do with the lady chained in the hull. Poor lass believes she is a vampire…
Following the KickStarter (even without pledging) will allow you to be the first to see the book jackets and follow my first self-publishing journey. Because I’m self-publishing, I have some say in the cover design. I have hired Novel Book Covers to digitally design our hero and heroine in one-of-a-kind designs. I’ve seen the preliminary proofs and you are going to be blown overboard. In the KickStarter, there are pre-release eBooks, autographed paperbacks, and tons of pirate swag rewards for those who pledge. Book 1: Walk the Plank is ready for publication, Book 2: Walk the Deck is awaiting the editor’s appointment on February 21st, and I’m drafting Walk the Night as you read this. Join the journey!
But what about Strawberry, KY? I haven’t forgotten about your favorite shifter/vampire community. It’s the wheels of traditional publishing which move so slowly. Book 3: Go Scorch Yourself is with the final proofreading editor getting final typos removed. I can’t wait for you to meet the real Vampire Prince, Lucien. We know him as the bumbling henchman for his uncle Ryan, but what makes him act so geeky? At the end of Round of Applause, he’s flustered over the arrival of Alison’s little sister Betty. “The aunt who says all the bad words” is our heroine and will teach Lucien that he indeed has a backbone. Their chemistry is explosive and the wait for their release (pun intended) is worth the wait. Not to be outdone by his nephew, Vampire King Ryan’s book “Rotten Apple” is also in submission with The Wild Rose Press.
POLL QUESTION: AUTHOR BLOGS. As you know I blog monthly with the Paranormal Romantics online magazine. I have a new article on the 13th of every month (for January’s article on Walk the Walk click here), but I do not run a blog of my own. I assumed you would rather read more books than articles, but I could be mistaken. Reply to this email with your opinion on blog articles. More specifically, if I posted an article per week on my website on what I’m reading, writing, and marketing, would you read it? Or...would you prefer I write more free books like The Spy Who Was Out Cold? Both are bonus content for you, so I want to tailor it to your desires.
Thank you so much for reading about my writing journey, purchasing my books, and leaving reviews for your favorites. It’s my turn to give back to you…
Do you miss Strawberry, and the next book can’t be published fast enough? I’ve joined the Free Paranormal Romance Books Book Fair sponsored by Bookspry.com. Grab enough shifter, vampire, Fae, and witch books to sate your appetites because all these books are free….
Or perhaps you miss Sergei, Cassie, and the steamy scenes of The Spiritual Spy? I gotcha covered in the Winter Steam Bookfair sponsored by book funnel. Find your next book boy/girlfriend in your free book
Because I can’t get enough kissing books…The January Steamy Romances has the hottest free books I’ve ever seen assembled in one book fair. Sergei may be slightly overdressed, but who doesn’t love a guy in a suit?
I haven’t featured a book in months so I thought I would share a goodie. You know I love a paranormal romance where the heroine is smarter than the average damsel-in-distress. The more intelligent she is the more I’m going to love her story. What’s brainier than being a doctor? Check out How to Steal a Kingdom (Doctors Without Boundaries Series) by Lydia Guleva – FREE.
Malisana has her work cut out for her. Raise two kids on her own. Have her house burned by crazed elves. Escape a swarm of ravenous fairies.
Getting saved by otherworlders finally gives Malisana the break she needed. Being a refugee isn’t that bad when she can get enough food and have the castle walls to protect her from the fairies. Even better, a handsome otherworlder invites her to go to his world.
Ron, the charming Police Officer and a former Marine Scout Sniper from a parallel dimension, will give Malisana and her kids anything. A new house. A puppy. A kitten. Most importantly, ice cream and bacon.
As life finally settles, reality comes knocking. Otherworlders have enemies, and those enemies want their castle back.
Thank you so much for joining me on the adventure across time, space, and the high seas. A special shoutout to those who have contributed to the Walk the Walk KickStarter and pre-ordered their books. I can’t want to sign them all! Your support means the world to me.
Blessed Be and Let Magic Find You,
Marilyn
