Dear ,
Blessed Samhain! The witches of Strawberry are preparing rituals to honor their ancestors - except for Gran. She uses the thinning veil to communicate with her deceased husband, Vinnie Paulino. If you think the flirty banter between Nate and Gran was spic in Round of Applause, you do not want to get in middle of her conversation with Vinnie! The rest of the Paulino werewolves are preparing their "dumb supper" in Strawberry.
My family is preparing ours as well. What is a "dumb supper"? It is where we eat all the favorite foods of those who shaped our lives before they passed. We would be "dumb" without them. My family will be eating my grandmother Elizabetta's lasagna and my grandmother Marilyn's favorite Snackwell cookies as well as my mother-in-law Theresa's Russian tea cakes. Yes, this is the same recipe you will find at the back of my next release, The Spy Who Loved My Russian Tea Cakes. Sergei's mother, Theresa, is modeled after my mother-in-law. I outline our whole Samhain extravaganza in this blog post for the Paranormal Romantics - https://paranormalromantics.blogspot.com/2020/10/a-new-halloween.html How are you honoring the dead today?
If you zoom in, you can see Pepper is sticking his tongue out. What a stinker! Speaking of stinkers, please add me to your contacts as you don't want to miss the November 15th edition of the Strawberry Rumor Mill. I am including a deleted scene from The Spy Who Loved My Russian Tea Cakes (because it was too hot for my publisher). Also, I have big Wylder news and tons of free books in new book fairs.
Tomorrow the holiday madness starts in the Christmas Cookies Book Series Facebook group. We will be hosting parties with games and giveaways until Christmas. If you would like to join us, here's the link to the group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/260918229129753
Blessed Samhain and Let Magic Find You,
Marilyn
