Beware the ides of March!
Not that I am worried, ides or not. I feel like superwoman now that I am fully vaccinated. I got to see my mother for the first time in eight months this week, which was awesome! She was skinnier but good. I was fatter. but happy to see her doing so well. We celebrated her half-birthday. She is 951/2 but my sister and I joked that she doesn't look a day over 93.
Despite the gorgeous weather luring me outside, taking time for Mom and the vaccine, took me away from work. But things progress... so let’s get to it.
Finally, Bedazzled in off my plate and in the hands of my editors and proofers for a few weeks. Can you believe how long it took me to complete some editing classes and get this done? The book is now about 15% shorter but the story is unchanged, except for Sloane. For those of you who hated her too much, I softened her - just a little - making it easier to read her story in Beholden. Watch for big news about Bedazzled and all the Beguiling Bachelor Books in April!
Help me Name the Cat
At long last Avery gets to come out of the drawer for rewrites. The story revolves around a stray cat, male or female, and I am looking for cat names! Send your suggestions to me at maddy@madisonmichael.net. I will announce the name I select in an upcoming newsletter.
Joy Giachino named a character in our last contest and he will be showing up in a future book, most likely as a baseball player. I can’t wait to write that story, but it will have to wait a while longer. So many books, so little time!
A Cross-Over Tale
Up next is Bethany’s tale of love and a shot at winning the dare. This story will be a Beguiling Bachelor/Double Dare crossover story (I am stealing the idea from all those Grey’s Anatomy crossover shows). What happens when Bethany moves to the country to start a small organic farm and the Lyons Howe Real Estate firm want to develop the land? I promise plenty of sparks will fly – in and out of the bedroom! I am super excited to get started on it.
