Mission Statement:

Kingdom Builders ministry exists to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that they are unable to accomplish by their own means. Although the practical focus is on construction, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those served, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of Christ through ministry.

Message from the Board

April 2025

Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. Isaiah 58:12NKJV

Recently I was asked to share at a Christian Leadership conference on marketplace ministry. I believe there are many different ways we can minister to people outside the church, and Kingdom Builders is one of those ways. Marketplace ministry is also known as workplace ministry. It’s a concept that views a person’s everyday work, or a place of business, as a field of ministry and service to God; thereby, impacting their region for good through their profession. It is ministry that takes place outside the church walls. 

When Andy and the board established Kingdom Builders, their vision was to restore and repair homes of those in need as a way to bless and reach the hearts of people in and outside of the church. Kingdom Builders needs the blessings of God, and the resources of many, in order to be this conduit. There is much pain taking place in the world today, and we want God to use us to bring hope and salvation to our area.

How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7

There are so many opportunities around us to share the Gospel and bring God’s love to people. Kingdom Builders is a ministry that is doing that! Building relationships is so important as we go forward in ministry. As we connect to people that we meet in our everyday lives, we need to realize these may be divine appointments to share love and to bring encouragement. We can influence others every step we take, in our walk with Christ, inside and outside the church walls.

Praise:

God that he is the ultimate restorer of what is broken or damaged.

Gods desire for holistic restoration includes both the individual and the community.

That God invites us into his redemptive plan for humanity through proactive engagement in seeking justice, keeping unity and restoring broken relationships.

Prayers:

Help us to see the opportunities for restoration in our communities, relationships and our own lives. Grant us wisdom, courage and resources to fulfill this calling.

May we act with your grace, and with the resources you have entrusted to us so we can be a force for healing and renewal bringing glory to your holy name.
