Mission Statement:

Kingdom Builders ministry exists to serve homeowners in the greater Oneonta area by providing quality labor to address construction needs that they are unable to accomplish by their own means. Although the practical focus is on construction, the spiritual focus is on building relationships with those served, with the end goal of demonstrating the love of Christ through ministry.

Spring is here!

MAY 2022

Spring is here! I am always amazed by the beauty and newness of life during this time of year. God gives us an array of colors and sounds. The flowers and trees bloom. The birds sing out and the chipmunks scurry around. I am blessed to be able to be in situations where I can be still and listen. I find when I am listening it brings peace in my heart. In scripture, Psalm 46:10, the first part of the verse we are told to" be still and know that I am God." STILL. 

In our world it’s very difficult at times to be still. But if we are, we can find that peace that we all need to pull forward and know God. Because of supply issues with ordering material Kingdom Builders has had the time to be still. In our stillness it has given me more time to reflect on the goodness of God and KNOW that He is God. Knowing that He is in control. That He does all things for our good and His glory. In knowing that, comes much peace and joy. He’s got this! AMEN!!

We have started a project for a woman in need of a new roof overhang over her front door and new rain gutters. We were able to get the old roof tore off and new gutters ordered. 

This project is waaaaay out in the country away from main roads where being still and listening to God's creation is very easy to do. I am humbled, blessed and very fortunate to be able to serve in this way. To be out among God's creation, giving of my talents that God gave me and blessing people in need is an honor and fills me with joy. Thank you! Thank you all for being a part of this ministry and allowing us to be able to experience God goodness. 

We are having trouble getting the correct material in for another job. Please pray that God would direct us to the supplier that can meet our needs. And as always pray for safety as we perform the work needed and for the funds to come in to meet the needs of the upcoming projects. We currently have this project and 3 others in the wings. As material prices continue to climb the need for funds to cover these projects important. We can’t do this without your support. So please keep us in your prayers and on your hearts and minds. Perhaps even telling a friend of us. Together we can make a difference in our community and for God's kingdom.

Meet the Board

"Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough." Psalm 23:1 (TPT)

Contentment. What does it look like? I’ve lived paycheck to paycheck wondering will it be enough, but each, and every, time God has provided. Sometimes it is through another believer who sends envelope with four $50 bills in it. Other times it is through stretching my faith right to the edge and then working it all out for me as I wait for His provision in ways that I never thought possible. There have been seasons in life where I’ve wondered will there ever be enough to get X,Y, or Z accomplished.  

However, in each and every situation God has been my portion and I have always had more than enough. Have my desires always been met – nope, but God has always met me needs. I love The Passion's Translation of Psalm 23:1b – “I have more than enough” and my cup certainly overflows daily with His goodness and grace.

At Kingdom Builders we seek to have the opportunity to come alongside those who may be where I’ve been, (maybe where you’ve been) – wondering will there ever be enough money to get an area of their home repaired and meet that need. To give them hope and encouragement by meeting their need of home repair and in the process seek to show them God’s love in every area of their life. Thanks for partnering with us and helping to overflow the cups of Kingdom Builders’ applicants one home at a time. We, and they, are thankful for your financial support!

PRAISE AND PRAYERS

Praise:

For spring as an expression of Almighty God speaking through His magnificent creation and his revelation of truth all around us.

God continues to be faithful, and His provision is seen in each step along the way

We have completed several projects! And we have a couple more in the pipeline.

Prayers:

For barriers like increasing cost and stifled distribution chains to be lifted.

For rest and patience in the waiting.

For praise and appreciation of God’s plan and timing, may we put our expectations aside and seek Him.
