Happy September Release Day!

Happy Release Day in September! Welcome to all my new subscribers! I’m happy to have you join the community.

This month has been super busy for me. So, instead of sending out my normal newsletter at the start of the month, then sending another with the release of my book, I decided to wait. I know people’s emails are filled with correspondence and I don’t want to over load anyone. That being said... It’s here! It’s release day for The Diviner’s Soul, Dianthe and Kieran’s story, which is the second book I’ve written in The Getaway Chronicles.

I hope you pre-ordered, but if you didn’t, it’s available wide for you to get your copy and dive into this Romantasy. Kieran isn’t my typical hero. Translation, his mouth isn’t extra-slick. Just normal slick. And the way he loves and protects Dianthe is swoon-worthy. I can’t wait for you to meet him.

Writing update

I typed ‘The End’ on two books this month. Around the first week in September, I finished Draft Pick Season IV: Vitaly. I’m very excited about it, but very much not looking forward to the editing process. It’s huge. The biggest book I’ve written to date. Which means, part of getting it ready for publication will involve trimming it down to a manageable size. Maybe at a later date, I’ll release and extended version. The jury is still out on that one.

I also finished Her Reluctant Cowboy, my contribution to the Silver Creek Ranch Series. Coming in just under the wire to get it to the editor to have it back in my hands in time to possibly have copies for Boozy Book Tour🤞🏽. Normally, I write my book in a collaboration well in advance. So, this time was out of character. Zero out of ten, do not recommend. But, life happened and I had to extend myself some grace.

Speaking of the Silver Creek Ranch, the first two books in Season Two have already released with a new book being released each Monday during the months of September through November, with one week off in October.

Ignited By Books Author Event

I had the pleasure of attending Ignited By Books Author Event in Toronto, Canada. I will say this... a time was had! The organizers and readers were wonderful. It was great meeting new readers and making new connections with other authors. One of the main highlights for me was being able to spend time with my friends. Writing brought us together, but more than words keep us connected.

Since Author Niccoyan Zheng is local to the Greater Toronto Area, she took on the role of hostess. We got to see the city through her eyes and grab tastes of the rich cultures that call Toronto home. I’ve decided there’s no point in getting on the scale after the way I indulged while I was there. Above are some pictures highlighting the my experience. If you should ever get the opportunity to visit Toronto, I highly recommend it.

The next event coming up for me is the Boozy Book Tour in Chicago, Illinois October 17-19th. It will be my last event of 2025.

In addition to the signing on October 18th, there are activities planned for the entire weekend.
