Hey y'all!

Happy Friday-eve! Who's ready for the weekend? Just me? Nah... I don't think it's just me.

We’re entering the hottest part of the summer, but we’re closing in on the, hopefully, cooler temperatures of fall. Pretty please let it be so! I’d really appreciate not feeling like I stepped into an oven when I walk out my front door. My summer has been filled with book events, family obligations, and writing. I’ll try to get you caught up on the latest in this newsletter.

Writing update

I’m so very close to typing the end on two of my WIPs--The Diviner’s Soul and Draft Pick Season IV: Vitaly. I’ve loved writing these stories so much that I’m sad to see them end. But it’s time to put them into the world. Those of you who are also with me on Patreon have read along as I’ve written. The feedback and conversations have made the journey that much more enjoyable.

The goal is to type ‘the end’ within the next two weeks. I’m not one to rush a book to publishing, but I’m pushing toward a personal deadline with The Diviner’s Soul. Once I have it locked in, I’ll share more.

Just in case you missed it, I'm writing in Peyton Banks' Silver Creek Ranch world again. This time, I'm writing a cowgirl who's a military vet. I can't wait for y'all to meet Vivienne and Rhinehart.

Event Info and updates

For the second year in a row, I was a signing author at Writer’s on the River in Peoria, Illinois. This year was at a new venue, but the people were just as wonderful and friendly. I had a great time connecting with readers and author friends. Of course, me and Michel Prince were up to our usual shenanigans.

WOTR was my fourth book event of the year. I have two more before I’m done with travel. Thankfully, for my writing schedule, and my wallet, those events are spread out a little.

Although I kick myself for not taking more pictures during events, I did manage to snap a few at the signing and during the event.

The next event I’ll attend is Ignited by Books in Toronto, Canada.

I’m very much looking forward to going up north to meet Canadian readers and author friends! As always, I look forward to connecting with you IRL.
