Bank of England hikes the base rate to 5.25%
The base interest rate has risen for the 14th consecutive time to 5.25%. It’s now at its highest level since April 2008 - and not only could it get higher still, it's likely to stick around this level for a while

Premium Bond prize rate increases to 4.65%
More savings news! This time from NS&I here the Premium Bond prize rate has also increased pretty dramatically. In its 8th rise in just over a year, it has risen from 4% to 4.65%.

6. Barclays: 5% cashback when you use Google Pay
Calling all Android users (who bank with Barclays). You can currently get 5% cashback if you add your Barclays card to Google Pay. You can get a maximum of £10 total. Here’s how.
7. Apple: Student discount & £130 gift voucher
It's the best time of the year to buy a new iMac or MacBook if you're a student (or have access to a student card) as not only do you save up to 10%, you'll also get an Apple gift card worth up to £130. Here’s how.
