Energy price cap increases to £3,549 from October
You won't have escaped the official confirmation of the huge 80% hike to bills at the start of next month. It's scary stuff. This article explains how the cap works, and how to get an idea of what your bill will look like.
Cheaper alternatives to Sky TV and Virgin Media
You can't do much about reducing your energy bill, but you can save a fair bit by ditching Sky or Virgin TV - and as this article explains, you can still get most of the same channels for a fraction of the price.
Chase extends cashback for early adopters
Good news for anyone who signed up to Chase when it first launched - you're now getting 1% cashback until March next year rather than just 12 months. Here's how it works.
Money transfer credit cards – can they save you money?
If you have an overdraft or catalogue debt you're not able to use a balance transfer credit card to reduce the monthly interest costs to zero. But you could look at a money transfer card where the cash is transferred from the card to your bank account - for a fee. All is explained here.
