How to get the best price on your mobile phone contract and save
With news that EE is bringing back roaming charges in Europe from January, I thought it was a good time to share my top tips for choosing the best mobile phone tariff so you're getting the best features at the lowest price.
There's no reason why most of you should be paying more than £8 a month for your data, texts and minutes.
How to refill your water bottle for free
Ok, so the sunshine is a bit hit and miss, but when we do have hot weather this hack to find places that'll give you water for free is a great money saver - and great for the environment too as it cuts back on single plastic use.
Plus, I've spotted a couple of deals that'll get you a green reusable bottle for less.
Ask Andy #17: Your money questions answered
This week's questions answered include:
- Can I pay rent with a credit card?
- Is the BA Amex good for Nectar points?
- What do I do with £10k in savings?
You'll also be able to watch last week's live Q&A in full.

July's credit card news and offers
Here's my monthly update on which cards are leading the pack on things like cashback, balance transfers and 0% purchases.
Plus I've news on new rules that require you to authorise most online card payments, often via a text message, phone call or in-app confirmation.

CASH CHATS PODCAST
You've got two episodes to listen to this week. Enjoy!
#206: Should you share your streaming accounts?
Letting others use your Netflix account, or logging into your mate's Disney+ can really cut the price we all pay for TV streaming services. But are you actually allowed to do this? And what are the risks you might not have thought about? Find out more in the latest episode of the podcast.
#205: Your Money, This Week
Timi from the financial Instagram page Mr Money Jar helps me look back at the top money news stories from the week, including:
- Is this the end of free mobile roaming?
- New £50 note
- Mortgages lasting beyond retirement
- Flexi rail season tickets
- Further bank closures
- & more
You can listen via all the normal podcasting routes or over on the blog.

THIS WEEK'S TOP DEALS
I only share deals and special offers on the blog which I think are really good value. Click the titles or links for more information.
1. Virgin Money: £150 voucher switch bonus
Virgin Money has changed the switching offer for new customers. It's now a £150 Virgin Experience Days voucher.
The same rules apply as before, but it's good news for those put off by free wine, or those who previously had a Yorkshire or Clydesdale account when the offers first began - some of those will now be eligible.
Here's more information, how it compares to other offers and my review of the account.
2. Stevie: Two Odeon tickets and a £10 Turtle Bay gift card for £9.99
Sign up for the Stevie discount app and you can get £5 off the "great value" plan, which includes two Odeon tickets. So for £9.99 (rather than £14.99) you'll get the tickets, a £10 Turtle Bay gift card and access to further discounts at restaurants.
Or you can get just one year of the basic membership with the Turtle Bay voucher for free (normally £9.99).
3. Craft Beer: 50% off new beer club
I've blagged a code that'll get you two beer boxes from Beacon & Buck at half price. Depending on which beers you use and how many you want in a box it could work out as little as 95p a can. Here's more.
4. Theatre: Kids go free
Kids Week in London's West End is back. For each adult who buys a ticket, a kid goes free, and further children are half price. Tickets are on sale now for performances through all of August. Here's more.
5. Amazon Business: Free £100 gift card
If you run a business you can apply for an Amazon Business American Express credit card. Those accepted will get a £100 Amazon voucher and no-fee on the card for one year. Here's more.
6. Supermarkets: Free yoghurt and 50p profit
If you buy a 400ml tub of new dairy-free yoghurt from The Collective you can claim the approx £2 cost back. And if you get it from Sainsbury's or Waitrose you can get another 50p back on top.
7. Free Postcode Lottery: June draw results and new £10 competition for July
If you took part in the £10 bonus draw for Be Clever With Your Cash readers last month then the winning postcodes have been announced (click through to see if you've won and how to claim).
Plus they're running the same extra competition for this month with another five readers winning a bonus £10. Find out how to enter.
8. LAST CHANCE: Free £5 Love to Shop voucher
It's your last chance to sign up to Snoop (an app that monitors your spending and helps you identify ways to save) and you can get a £5 voucher that can be used at John Lewis, Asda, Uber Eats and more. Ends Monday.
