Your weekly money saving deals and news from money expert Andy Webb
I almost missed a huge milestone this week - for the first time the blog has had 2 million views over a 12 month period!
I'm so happy I can help so many people get the most from their money and better understand their finances.
Thanks for your support in being a massive part of this happening.
Right, over to this week's articles, videos, podcasts and deals...

BLOG & ARTICLES
What is a good credit score?
Would you be impressed if I told you my credit score was 999? What about 906? Or 636? Or 505? You'd probably think the first two are better than the latter ones.
What if I told you they were all my credit score right now? And all are classed as "excellent". Confusing, right? In this article, I break down why they can be so different, how they fit into ranges such as "good" and "poor". and what that could mean when you apply for credit.
NOW TV to change price and membership plans
It's mixed news from next month for regular NOW (formally NOW TV) users as there's a shakeup on passes which could mean you pay less, or could mean you pay more! Here's what is happening.
Ask Andy #15: Your money questions answered
This week's questions answered include:
- Do I need to cancel my credit card now it's cleared?
- Is there a debit card hack for TSB Spend & Save?
- Will switching hurt my credit score?
You'll also be able to watch last week's live Q&A in full.

The best sites for price drop alerts
One of the best ways to find the lowest price is to set up notifications that track the ups and downs of the product or service you want and let you know when they hit the amount you are happy to pay.
In this video I've shared my favourite apps and websites to help you do this for general shopping, ebooks, hotels and flights.
CASH CHATS PODCAST
I'm back to producing two episodes for you to listen to each week. Enjoy!
#202: The Amazon Prime debate
With Amazon Prime Day sales taking place next week I took the opportunity to talk about whether it's good or bad for your money with Amazon fan and deals hunter Chloe Carmichael.
Depending on your current views, listen to find out if either of us can change your mind on the £79 membership scheme.
#201: Your Money, This Week
Personal finance analyst Danni Hewson helps me look back at the top money news stories from the week, including:
- G7 global corporation tax plans
- A massive internet outage
- End of insurance loyalty penalties
- Holiday traffic light changes
- Pub closure risks
- Huge house price increases
- & more
You can listen via all the normal podcasting routes or over on the blog.
LIVE Q&A: Thursday 17 June 6pm
If you want to ask me questions about the content in today's newsletter (or anything else money-related) I'll be live on Instagram, Facebook and my YouTube channel this evening at 6pm.
QUESTION OF THE WEEK:
As always I've got a question for you too for when you're watching - do let me know your answers during the live.
With a report this week revealing only one in six transactions are in cash, I want to know would you miss cash if it went completely?
THIS WEEK'S TOP DEALS
I only share deals and special offers on the blog which I think are really good value. Click the titles or links for more information.
1. Bank switch: £125 from HSBC or First Direct
There's a new bank switch offer this week and an increase from another, meaning you can get £125 from two different banks - though not if you opened an account with either of them since 1 January 2018. Here's more.
2. Deliveroo: £7.50 off for new and existing customers
From today you can add a £7.50 off code to Deliveroo on a first-come, first served basis. There's a minimum spend of £15 before fees. Here's more.
3. Prime Day: Early deals
Amazon's Prime Day sale is on Monday and Tuesday, and there are a handful of early offers.
I'll share anything that stands out in this article on Monday, but my top tip is to make a list now of things you want and only buy them (if they're at a good price of course) and don't get tempted to splash out on offers for things you really don't need.
And remember, other retailers will price match on the big offers, especially on Amazon tech like Echo speakers and Fire TV.
4. Cinema: Various deals
If your local cinema is a Vue then an offer on Wowcher is decent. You can get two tickets for £10 or 10 for £40.
Meanwhile at Cineworld you can get 14% off a gift card - which can be combined with other ticket offers such as Meerkat Movies.
And don't forget, as I shared last week, you can get two free tickets to loads of different cinemas this weekend with a National Lottery ticket or scratchcard. I picked up the latter for £1 (didn't win!) and am going to see A Quiet Place 2.
Here's more on all of these offers.
5. O2: £10 eBay voucher if you sell
Anyone on O2 should head to their Priority app to claim a £10 eBay voucher when you sell for the first time in a year on eBay. More here.
6. Books: Independent Bookshop Week
Saturday sees the start of celebrations for local small bookshops and though there's no set deal it's worth checking to see if your local store is running any promotion or free events.
It's also a good opportunity to see if you can utilise the American Express Shop Small offer to get £5 off a £15 spend.
