BLOG: Does bank switching affect your credit score?
I've had a few questions recently on the blog and on my YouTube channel about the impact of opening new bank accounts has on your credit score. Well, the answer is... it depends.
So in this article I've shared some of the factors that could mean you want to be careful, and the time when it shouldn't be too bad.
BLOG: Ways to save money on the new iPhone 12
Finally, after a month's delay, Apple announced the latest updates to the iPhone range. As always they are expensive - very expensive! But there are ways you can make sure you don't pay over the odds.
Here's my guide to the new phones and the ways to keep costs down.
BLOG: Boost your supermarket spending by 6%
I'm not a fan of Christmas savings schemes at supermarkets, but there is a trick that means you can still get the bonus without keeping your money in one for a long time.
They're worth up to 6% at Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Co-op and Iceland, and you need to act fast if you want the Tesco bonus as it closes next Tuesday.
PODCAST: Cash Chats #145: Energy bills (Money makeover)
With most of us being at home in the day for the last seven months, and that likely to continue into early 2021 (if not longer), we're all using more energy. And that will increase in the winter. Naturally, our bills will all go up as a result.
So it's vital we do everything we can to bring down the costs. In this week's episode of Cash Chats I look at everything you need to do to save money on your gas, electricity and water bills.
You can listen via all the normal podcasting routes or over on the blog.

The top deals this week
I only share deals and special offers on the blog which I think are really good value. Click the titles or links for more information.
Plus, it's worth following me on Instagram where I post any extra deals which come too late for the newsletter, including a "deals of the week" video update on Friday.
1. Wine and beer deals
With more areas of the country going into level two or three of lockdown I expect home drinking is going to increase. So here are a few offers to keep you going at home (though do drink responsibly).
25% off six or more bottles of wine
This Tesco offer can be stacked with other discounts. For example 19 Crimes Red is down from £9 to £7. With the extra 25% off you'll pay £5.25 a bottle.
The cashback app Shopmium is giving Waitrose and Sainsbury's shoppers £2 back on Meantime four packs, making it £1 per can. Here's more on this and other craft beer deals.
If you can still head out then the We Love Sport app is giving users a free pint at selected pubs and bars.
2. Free year of Calm for Amex users
Calm is a popular app for aiding meditation, sleep and relaxation and American Express users can get a year for free, worth £29.99.
3. 12 months of Spotify for the price of 10
This offer is now available via Amazon as well as PayPal, saving you £20 on a year of Spotify Premium. You can only use it towards the £9.99 option, not Family, Duo or Student.
4. ASOS 20% off with Apple Pay
I used this discount to save £25 on a GHD Air hairdryer for Becky, and it's valid on all full price items.
5. Five Vue tickets for £20
It's not a good time for cinema goers with Cineworld closed until further notice and other chains limiting some screens to weekend only. But if you do fancy going there's an offer via Groupon to get either two Vue tickets for £10 or five for £20.
