When your mind wanders during meditation, and you become aware of it, you simply begin again. As I listened to this a guided meditation with #JosephGoldstein, as I have in the past many times, my mind wandered down a path thinking about how this gentle directive applies to so many things beyond mindfulness meditation.⁠ ⁠ When you're fasting and you feel you've gone off course, you simply begin again the next day.⁠ ⁠ When you go down an internet rabbit hole when you're "supposed" to be working on a project, as you become aware, you simply begin again, on your intended path.⁠ ⁠ When a project doesn't go as planned, you can choose to simply begin again.⁠ ⁠ Beating yourself up for getting off track doesn't accomplish anything positive. ⁠ ⁠ When you simply begin again, you get back on the path that's moving you forward.
