Hey nerds!

It's been a while...apparently my last update was in July. But I'm back with a vengeance!

I've been continuing to make progress on Cloudfall. For fun, I thought I'd start sharing a little more of the world for those who are interested. As you may know, music is an integral part of the culture, religion, and magic in Cloudfall. Here's one of my favorite little nods to that combination.

"Tafathara: A memorial grave construction popular in Hymnalist culture. While there are many varieties, they all must contain a string (see Deathstrand) suspended between two ends, that make a tone when struck. A necropolis is typically filled with row upon row of labeled memorials where loved ones may come to commune by plucking the string of those who have passed. Wealthy families often build large, almond-shaped tafatharas with hollow bodies to protect the strand and create a stronger resonance."

But I'm not just working on Cloudfall! It feels like every time I send an update I have another short story going in an anthology. Today is no different!

Excited to share that I'll have a story publishing in the Grim Oak Press Grimoire for Dragonsteel Nexus 2025, alongside authors like Christopher Paolini, Matt Dinniman, Ryan Cahill, Christopher Ruocchio, and many more. Really happy with how this standalone short story—titled Anamnesis—turned out. It features an old monk who works in a monastery trading his own memories to heal patrons.
