Hi Balance Improvers and Happy Friday morning!
Today's training is more informational (that will be the theme for Fridays), but with more action items for you!
Balance is not just about, well, balance. It is a broad reaching set of areas to address to prevent falling.
As we finish off the first week, the focus has been on your Foundation for your success and that is your mindset. Below, I've included a worksheet. Any worksheet I include is for you to use or not, but at least give you specific things for you to think about. You can print out the worksheets and fill them in, write the same things somewhere else, or just mull it over in your mind.
I like writing them sometimes to review and adjust as my thinking changes, but we are all different!
In the worksheet for today, There are 4 areas to think about.
WHO: This is for you to define who this program is for, and I started with YOU. But sometimes we do things for others when we won't start them for ourselves. If that is you, write down your other "Whos"
WHY: We've been talking about you developing your reason for doing this program, but that was difficult for some people to narrow down, so it is included here again to continue defining it. The more specific and personal you define your "Whys" the more likely you are to be able to 'use' them to keep you going.
WHAT: With this we are defining what you see yourself being able to do once you can move better and have more balance. As with the other reasons, the more clear and specific you can make this, the more you can start using it as you progress.
We all have immediate 'goals,' for lack of a better word and we have higher aspirations. Write at least one of each for now.
HOW: I started this list with the very generic "moving more" focus, but it helps if you define specific actions (yes, these can change/morph and really should). This is the setting a reminder, parking farther away, walking to and then beyond the mailbox,... How will YOU keep this in the forefront of your mind and implement?
This will also change and progress as we move through the program, since each week we'll have a different focus, but don't want to forget what we've already established.
Whew! Scroll down to see/print out the worksheet.

As always, please contact me with any questions and/or any suggestions/feedback (I do NOT take this as criticism, I will use it to make the program even better and you will get any future versions of this)!
