The Last Love Letter

Dec 27, 2020 12:01 pm

Dear ,

I write you from my heart and from my home, the last love letter of the year.

It’s been a year.

I hope that you were able to find some holiday contentment.

I found the joy and felt the love in the little things this year, with gratitude for the practice of honoring what is.

Also, Benji received one toy, an oversized candy cane, which brought the whole house good tidings of great joy.

There is no place like home for the holidays, indeed. Home, being a place we arrive at within. A place we walk toward each new day in search of a sweetness, our peace.

It was this time last year, the fateful days after Christmas, that I was working on our 30 Day Yoga Journey for 2020, titled and themed around this concept of HOME

I originally wanted to focus on the theme of Vision, but pivoted a little after seeing many others, take advantage of the 2020 metaphor. (And rightfully so, get it Oprah, I love you, you queen!)

But I found myself focused on this theme of HOME, and discovered that I was able to really weave this concept in and out of my at home yoga practice with such profound ease. I went for it.

Today, though I am always nervous to release a big project, an offering, an art, a likely surprising intricate web of tasks just to get it to roll out, I am feeling extremely confident and excited about embarking on the new year with a focus on the BREATH.

The stakes feel high, I am not going to lie.

So I’ve poured a lot of thought, research, and love into this one.

Today, the official countdown begins!

In 5 days we will kick off the new year with a transformational 30 Days Of Yoga, centered around the powerful theme of conscious breath.

Are you IN?

Yoga for Flexibility

The final video in my REST series uploads this week on the FWFG APP. This series is designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system to help balance out the extra minutes (hours?) we have spent in fight or flight mode this year. Click here to join and take one of those restful classes tonight.

May you feel pulled to better care for yourself so that you may properly shower others with the magnificence of your own being.

May you find a moment to take a breath today.

See you on 12/31.

Faithfully yours,

Adriene
