On Rosh Hashana we enter G-d's throne room, connecting and uniting with our Creator.

Before we achieve that union we first have to prepare ourselves. In the Hebrew month of Elul, we take stock of where we're holding in our self-development and in our relationship with our Creator. Think of it as the dating period.

We're taught that it's G-d that initiates the dating process. He leaves His palace and comes to us in the "field", to our mundane and everyday life; inspiring us to develop our relationship with Him.

Let's show up for the date
