The Chai Times // its a Garden and we are lucky
Jan 19, 2024 6:56 pm
Farbrengen tomorrow at the Kiddush in honor of 74 years since the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, assumed leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch
Thought:
This Shabbos marks the 74th anniversary of the Rebbe's leadership. We can safely say that had it not been for this momentous occasion, you would not be reading this email. The powerful reach of Chabad, the practical down-to-earth inspiration of its teachings, and the push to act on the internal vibe of love we have for every Jew, are things that were not common even in Chabad.
A multi-layered teaching he taught in connection to this day:
- the world is a G-d's garden not an abandoned jungle
Therefore:
- We are in good hands.
- We follow the wishes of the garden's owner.
- We don't expect immediate results from our good efforts. Just as an orchard has a longer time horizon than a field of wheat, and the results are more complex and tasty. We understand that the world is on a longer journey and the fruits are sweeter.
Wishing you an uplifting Shabbat,
Rabbi Mendy & Mussy
