Dear friends,
As part of the end of year campaign, we want to be clear about what’s at stake and why your support matters right now.
Over the past year, more than 1,000 young adults have participated in YJP programs around Austin and at the Chai House. Shabbat dinners, holidays, classes, leadership initiatives, and countless personal connections have helped shape a vibrant Jewish community in the heart of our city.
This campaign is not symbolic. It is essential.
It directly supports 20% of our annual operating budget, funding the programs, staffing, and space that make this community possible.
Because of this support:
- Jewish life downtown is consistent, not occasional
- Young adults are choosing engagement over disengagement
- YOU are finding a Judaism that feels relevant, confident, and alive
Momentum is on our side, but momentum requires partnership.
If you believe in a strong Jewish future in Austin, if you believe in investing in people rather than just programs, this is the moment to step in.

Thank you for helping ensure that YJP continues to be a home for Jewish life, not just this year, but for years to come.
With appreciation,
Rabbi Mendy Levertov
