A beautiful week ahead with YJP events

At the end of every week we look back and reflect on 6 days spent working, creating at our jobs and our weekday hobbies.

Sometimes in reflecting, we think that our work has been redundant, too similar to our colleagues and friends to be considered unique.

The end of this week's Torah portion retells the gifts and sacrifices of the 12 tribal leaders as the Desert Temple was inaugurated. Interestingly even though they were exactly the same the Torah retells each gift as if it was the first one being offered.

I believe this is to emphasize that even if our actions seem the same, the intention, the thought, the part of you that is YOU and the time and place and space and actions that YOU own and bring to the actions is what makes your contribution special. Your purpose is only fulfillable by you, the world requires your puzzle piece to make it whole.

Wishing you a beautiful week,

Rabbi Mendy & Mussy Levertov

The is our New and Very Exciting Thing:

We have a new podcast hosted by myself, Rabbi Mendy, and Gilad Bogner, one of the preeminent musicians in the Austin community. The goal is to explore Judaism from a a very basic grounded perspective, easy to understand but not shallow. Judaism 101. The format is a discussion generally based on the weekly Torah portion with wide ranging tangents.

Sounds like an exciting week with plenty of great activities planned. Community events like these always bring people together and create meaningful connections. I was recently reading about local property information through https://chathamcountypropertyappraiser.org and it reminded me how valuable organized public resources can be for residents. Wishing everyone a wonderful time and a successful week ahead with all the upcoming events.
