Shofar in the Park - 9/7

Celebrate Rosh Hashana this Tuesday by hearing the sounds of the Shofar.

This Rosh Hashana, kick off your New Year with a blast - the blast of the Shofar!


Chabad YJP is delighted to host an outdoor Shofar blowing at Big Stacy Park, as we fulfill the beautiful Mitzvah of crowning G-d as King once again, and feeling deeply the inner voice of our soul.

Volunteer! Come help build the YJP Sukkah.

Very satisfying, very exciting, all-around wholesome good time!

Full High Holiday Services Listing

JOIN US OUTDOORS IN THE CHABAD YJP NATURE SPACE UNDER A BEAUTIFUL TENT AND TREE CANOPY.


Outdoor High Holiday Rosh Hashana services. Yom Kippur services will take place in TBA.


Do not attend if you have been exhibiting or exposed to someone with any COVID-19 symptoms or a positive COVID-19 test. Masks are suggested and if you are not feeling well stay home. 


All services are free, no membership fees, no service fees.


Your donation is a partnership and is greatly appreciated. Through your generosity you fund this and the many other programs we provide. All amounts make a difference and allow us to bring you more.


Service Description:

Services are inspiring, intimate, warm, engaging, user-friendly.

We bridge authentic tradition with contemporary experience and modern life.

  • 7:30 am - 15 Minute Shofar Service and Honey Cake
  • 9:00 am - Rosh Hashana Morning Services
  • 11:00 am - Rabbi’s Sermon
  • 6:30 pm - Shofar blowing at Big Stacy Park lots of space to spread out
  • 8:22 pm - Light Holiday candles after this time
  • 8:45 - Evening Services 20 min

Wednesday, September 8th

  • 7:30 am - 15 Minute Shofar Service and Honey Cake
  • 9:00 am - Rosh Hashana Morning Services
  • 11:00 am - Rabbi's sermon and Shofar Blowing
  • 1:00 pm - 15 Minute Shofar Service and Honey Cake
  • 7:00 pm - Shots & Shofar

  • 12:30 pm - Sermon & Yizkor Service (important prayer for those who have lost a parent)
  • 5:30 pm - Afternoon Service (Including Maftir Yonah)
  • 6:30 pm - Ne-ila Service (The Closing Prayers) followed by Shofar Blowing
  • 8:10 pm - Shofar Blast and BREAK-FAST
