Sex Positive You: Issue 46

Hi loves,

As October comes to a close, I hope you're all finding time to nourish yourselves. You may have caught my Insta story on Oct 10th where I asked people to guess how many trips/flights I had been on since the start of the month. If you missed it, the answer was 5 one-direction trips using 7 planes (because of layovers) in those 10 days. I was exhausted. Now I can ecstatically say that I am grounded - aka, no trips planned until December. It feels delicious and luxurious.

Reflections

October has been about transitions. After a busy month of traveling, presenting workshops and talks, engaging with so many inspiring people, and moving, I’m now ready to settle down in Puerto Rico for a while into some structure and nurture local connections. For those into moon rituals, don't forget that the next new moon is Nov 1st so it's a great time to set some intentions for the coming cycles.

What's new

Now that I’m settling into my home in Puerto Rico, I’ve been creating more content for Substack and Instagram. No promises of consistency until I finish my dissertation but I’ve been enjoying engaging with folks on the socials again. I think my favorite Substack this month was insights on what has changed for me being a pleasure and intimacy coach. You can see a shorter version on Insta, too.

Yesterday I shared an Instagram post finally releasing some gorgeous anatomical images by medical illustrator Ni-ka Ford that one of my research teams commissioned. If you'd like access to the full set of images by all of the artists, you can access them here. Don't forget to read the terms of service first! During Sex Down South I had the privilege of being interviewed by Sex Therapist Paola about Navigating Sexuality in the Latino Community. You can watch it on YouTube here.
