Hey there, how have you been?
If you remember in my last email, I talked about sink leaks, basement leaks, cat health issues, and colds. It just kept on going with my cat Aaron ending up in the hospital two weeks after his brother's issues (he's fine now), Mini-Editor getting sick, my husband getting sick again, and then Mini-Editor getting sick again. And after both finally seemed to be over it all, I got sick... just in time for Mini-Editor's birthday. And now a week past her birthday, I'm fine and she's sick again. Gotta love germ season. It's supposed to be ending now that it's getting warmer, right? Needless to say, it's been a really long last several weeks, and wherever you are, I hope it has been smoother sailing for you. And if it hasn't, I hope it gets better soon. I'm a hugger, so please know if we were together in person, that last sentence would totally have come with a hug. Thank you to those of you who reached out with emails. I'm sorry if I didn't end up responding. I try my best, but it doesn't always happen.
However amidst all the chaos, I finished the book I've been writing, the one I shared the first line with you the last time I wrote. And good news! It will be out on June 1st. And even better, you'll all be able to get it for free! More on that in June when it comes out.
But that's not all! I finished my revisions on Catastrophe on the Road, the prequel to the Purrfect Travel Companion series. That book is now up for preorder on all retailers.
Back in 2021, this story appeared in the When the Cat's Away travel cat cozy mystery anthology. If you picked up that set then, you have this book already, or maybe you've even read it. I've edited a few things since then, but by and large the story is the same. However, if you didn't snag the anthology back then (it was only available for ninety days), then here's your chance to grab my story that was in there.
It kicks off a new series featuring Meredith, a baker-turned-travel-blogger, and her cat Trouble, or Trubbs for short. You first met Meredith in Coffee and Calicos where she's one of Joanie's college friends, and now she's ready for her own series. Not only that, but Catastrophe on the Road will also introduce you to a few key players in my all-new story that's coming on on June 1st. I love being able to have everything interconnected like this but yet stand separately. You can read these series in any order you like, so feel free to hop in wherever you want.

That's all from me for now, but more soon!
