“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

(Isaiah 7:14b, ESV)

Merry Christmas! We hope this season finds you rejoicing in the reality of our Savior’s birth. Our prayer is that regardless of how busy things are, that we will make time to rest the fact that Jesus has accomplished everything on our behalf and that in Him our burden is light.

This November, it was wonderful to travel to Cambodia to participate in a training with one of our ministry partners and meet with our team face-to-face after being away so long. The trip was a blur of activity, but I am grateful for safe travels and for the opportunity to be reunited with so many of my teammates.

Nathan with the ACTION Translation Team at the Harvest Ministries Training

The training was put on by Harvest Ministries and consisted of about fifty Sunday School teachers. They were introduced to the New City Catechism and given a model for how they could implement the book in each of their Sunday School classes with children. They were given games and lesson plans to use to help engage the children as they taught principals from God’s Word. It was great to see so many young people excited to teach God’s Word to children.

Our team has been busy, and we are pleased to announce the publication of three new books: Attributes of God by A.W. Pink, The Meaning of Christmas by various authors, and Daily Manna, a daily devotional based on the Daily Bread devotional. We have also reprinted ten other titles, including Good News of Great Joy by John Piper, Design for Discipleship volumes 1-7 by the Navigators, and True Discipleship by William MacDonald.

We are thankful for your continued prayers and support of our ministry. Please continue to pray that the Lord will use these resources to grow His Church in Cambodia for His glory.

Our family is so thankful for the Lord’s provision through His people—allowing us to be Stateside while ministering together with our team through translation in Cambodia. We have truly felt His personal love for our family as we continue to heal and rebuild. This year has also been quite the production with the release of four new books (and one more on the way!). Our team distributed over 2,000 books this month alone! Your gracious gifts have enabled the ministry to expand and grow exponentially in Cambodia. What a joy to be able to partner together in this great task!

Prayer Corner:

  • Pray for the various Christmas outreaches that will be going on throughout Cambodia and for continued followup throughout the year
  • Pray that the Christmas outreach articles and videos on Plovpit.com would be used by God to draw people to Himself
  • Pray that our family would see improved health and that we will have wisdom as we work with neurologists on a new care plan for Paton
  • Pray for the distribution of newly released books, including Attributes of God by AW Pink

Support Status:

Would you consider giving a special year-end gift to support our family and the ministry in Cambodia this Christmas? Each month we rely on the gifts of God’s people, especially as the year comes to a close. Thank you for your consideration and partnership in the Gospel!

Sponsor Child-at-risk Education

ACTION Cambodia currently sponsors at-risk children to attend a local Christian school. These children live in an orphanage and most have been abandoned by their parents. The living situation is not the best, and we believe one of the main ways we can love these children is by providing them with high-quality Christian education, both to equip them for life here on earth, as well as sharing the light of the Gospel with them. Would you prayerfully consider being part of these children’s lives?

Current Yearly Need: $9,000
