The obesity tax is real... the only thing that was cheaper was heating π

Hi, happy Spring! π·
Here is just a short message that made me smile - I received it yesterday from our patient a year after his gastric sleeve surgery:

"I'm leaving for a trip.
No seat belt extender today π
To be totally honest for a long time I didn't even fly economy, that's how bad it was. Which meant I traveled only when needed really. If it was in Europe I would avoid flying. Even so the money I paid in business tickets over the years would probably have paid for multiple surgeries...
The obesity tax is real... the only thing that was cheaper was heating π
It's about exactly 12 months now since I started to prepare for the surgery. BMI 39,5 today. I am officially obese category 2... yay? π From a maximum of... 59. Right, so that's 55 kg lost in a year, can't complaint... π I did buy clothes from a regular store yesterday :) it's 2XL but still, I couldn't do that last year.... "
