Here is a recap of our message from this weekend...
One & Done: The Warning, The Reminder, The Call
In this sermon, Discipleship Director Daniel Solis introduces the new series "One and Done," focusing on the books of the Bible that have one chapter. This week was the book of Jude. He warns the congregation about deceptive individuals who pervert God's grace and urges them to stay vigilant. The sermon emphasizes remembering biblical history to avoid repeating mistakes and calls for defending the faith and showing mercy to others. Pastor Solis concludes by encouraging transformation, prayer, and the pursuit of freedom in Jesus.
Daniel begins by looking at Jude's introduction, focusing on Jude's humility and submission to Christ. He then unravels the message of Jude, which serves three primary purposes.
There is a focus on Jude's warning, cautioning the church against those who misconstrue the grace of God and use it for immoral means. There are individuals who may seemingly align with the faith, but later shedding light on their true intentions, may introduce compromising behavior. With this, he calls on the congregation to stay vigilant and not be swayed by such individuals who skew God's message of grace.
Daniel emphasizes strengthening one's faith, prayer, and supportiveness, while avoiding passing judgment on others. Wrapping up his sermon, Daniel invited the congregation for prayer, encouraging them to release their burdens. He seeks freedom, transformation, and the breaking of chains for the church and asks the congregation to persist in the freedom found in Jesus and live their transformed lives.

3 Things We Receive from the book of Jude
- The Warning - Jude warns of ungodly people who pervert the grace of God into a license for immorality. He describes them as clouds without rain and trees without fruit, emphasizing the emptiness of their promises. The message is clear: be vigilant and discerning.
- The Reminder - Jude reminds us of God's past judgments on those who turned away from Him. These historical examples serve as a warning that God's justice is real. We must remember and learn from the past to avoid repeating it.
- The Call - Jude's call to action is to build ourselves up in our most holy faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, and keep ourselves in God's love. He urges us to be merciful to those who doubt and to actively rescue others from the fire of sin. This call to action is both a personal and communal responsibility.
