Hi everyone,

Today is my birthday! I'm...dun dun dun 30. Eep. Well, it had to happen eventually right? Not going to lie a certain line from an Avenue Q song just came to mind. As far as life updates go, I had some promising interviews but no offers. I've gotten to check out some good areas to live in near my family though and visited some friends. Now I just have to find a job that will allow me to afford apartments which is easier said than done.

Camp NaNoWriMo didn't exactly go according to plan. I did do some of the read-through/editing for Dusk's story, but not as much as I would like. However, I did do a TON of outlining for my Vella stories so now I just need to finish the reverse outline for Snow's Captive and start typing out those chapters.

Do you think that the LGBTQIA+ community is well-represented in the fantasy and fairytale genres?

I think now we're starting to see more LGBTQIA+ representation in these genres, but my experience growing up and even well into college and young adulthood was most/all of the LGBTQIA+ stories I saw (on the rare occasion I found an LGBTQIA+ story that wasn't fanfic) was typically contemporary or historical. Nothing against those genres, but fantasy and fairytales always have had my heart. That lack of rep is what led me to write more LGBTQIA+ fantasy and PNR that's for and by the LGBTQIA+ community because I desperately craved that perspective.
