Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. If you've ever pictured what Loki would look like as a puppy, that's my current sit now. Chaos puppy is lucky that he's also a lovable cutie. Both author and Coursera project management went really well. I'm almost done with week 2 for the 4th out of 6 classes. I ended up binge-watching "As We See It." While it was a cool story idea, the characterization fell a bit flat for me in some places, and I was a little disappointed as I was hoping to see someone whose needs were more similar to mine, but I did really like Harrison and felt he was pretty relatable. Oh, and I'm officially going to Seattle to pet sit for a friend. That trip is still a little ways off, but I'll make sure to send you some pictures when I get back.
Now, for the main event. I have a bit of a fairytale scavenger hunt for you. Here are the rules and here's the link:
- You can hunt through any of the stories I've written both the free and paid ones.
- You cannot use the same reference more than once.
How to Enter-
- You can gain entries by sharing the giveaway link (it can be with word of mouth, it doesn't have to be social media. Have them reference you when they enter the giveaway).
- Each fairytale-inspired character you can name= 2 points per character
- Each fairytale question you can answer= 3 points
Prizes-
- A fairytale e-book or your choice (anything $15 or less). OR You may choose a physical book instead ONLY if you are a U.S. resident.
- A custom-designed fairytale postcard (You can pick a theme or fairytale character you like and I'll make and send it to you) This is available for international entries as well.
On the writing front, I haven't made much progress, but I actually got ahead on some of my author assistant work, so I'm hoping to dedicate some of my weekend to focusing in on my editing and writing. I'll keep you posted on my progress.
I have a more hypothetical question for you.
If money wasn't necessary for survival or you became independently wealth and didn't need to work, what would you spend that time on instead?
Personally, I'd probably do more reading and writing. I'd also like to take a class to learn how to draw and paint. I'd also like to learn basic construction, enough to help build affordable housing. hmmm and maybe run a book box. To be totally transparent, before doing any of that I'd probably spend a few months, maybe even a year or so recovering from autistic burnout because the corporate world and peopleing all the time can be a lot.
That's all for now.
Have a great day and stay safe!
Sincerely,
Julia (they/he)
