If you're seeing this, you just signed up from my list through the Chilling Adventures of Strong Women SFF Giveaway hosted by C.L. Cannon at Fiction-Atlas Press. Need to jog your memory? You can see the giveaway I'm talking about here.

Welcome to the world of gem magic, vampire snow white, and nymph Rapunzel book butterflies. On this newsletter you'll receive weekly emails with exclusive sneak peaks of my works in progress, review copy and beta reader opportunities, book signing locations, occasional blog updates, indie book deals, bookish giveaways, writing updates, and much more . Enjoy your stay and be careful of the monsters haunting the night...

To make sure you receive my emails, go ahead and go to the top of this email where you can see my name and click on that little circle with the J to add me as a contact. I have some pictures below detailing the new steps for adding people as a contact on gmail. If you need any help, you can contact me here.

As a thank you for signing up, you can view a free short story called Night Sprite here. It's a flash fiction I wrote about the creation of the moon.

A bit more about me is that I write Young Adult and Adult fantasy. I love writing LGBTQIA+ fantasy, dark fantasy, and twisted fairy tale and mythology retellings. I love world building and researching combat skills and hobbies for my books. If you want to get a good idea of what inspires me and my writing style, check out Aimee Carter, Kristin Cashore, or Maria V. Snyder. Maria V. Snyder's book Poison Study actually inspired my username on Twitter, ButterflysDust.

Wanderingteacherbooks became my brand name because I love to travel, teach, write, and read. I wanted to put all those things into one brand name. I lived in Japan for 1 year and wrote a Japan travel blog, I teach ESL, and I write and read tons of books mostly of the YA fantasy variety. That's all about me for now.

What about you, what's your story?

P.S. In order to make sure you only receive the emails you want, you can choose the types of emails you'll receive by clicking here. Otherwise, you'll receive the same stuff that everyone else gets. I won't sell your email or send you boring emails. If you decide the newsletter isn't for you, you can click the unsubscribe button at the bottom or change your preferences. I do offer a bi-weekly and monthly newsletter option if once a week is too much.

Sincerely,

Julia Goldhirsh (they/he), author
