Hi everyone,
I hope you had a great week. In my case, this week I worked on getting a handle on my ADHD via "brain breaks" while I made progress on beta edits for "Amy's Rebellion." The mini yoga sessions and reading breaks have helped with my focus, but Tiktok and my messenger apps/discord are huge temptations still. My brain also wants to do all the things at once. Like right now I'm writing, doing this cool project management certificate on Coursera, getting writing stuff done, working on writing an article for hire, running an LGBTQ book group on Facebook, managing my social media, and trying to squeeze in some time to relax by watching anime and reading. Phew I'm tired just thinking about all of it.
As for writing updates, I now have 8 chapters for "Snow's Captive." Once I've written and edited the first 10 chapters, I'm planning to put it up on Kindle Vella. If you want to beta read the episodes after I self-edit, let me know. I also did a teeny tiny bit of work on Joan's story, but I think I might have to outline this one so it doesn't meander.
And of course I have another snippet for you this week. Here's one of Grimhelde after she escaped.
I hope you enjoyed it. Keep an eye out for another preview next week.
That's all I've got for today.
Now, I have a question for you.
Whose story should I write next for the Gemstone Massacre series: Dusk's, Amy's, Iris's, Opal's, or Joan's?
I'd love to hear who you're most interested to learn more about. I'll prioritize based on the whichever one I get the most messages for. So you get a chance to choose whose story you see next. I already have a prequel written out for Amy that needs a lot of tweaking and I'm drafting Joan's story, but I have rough outlines for almost everyone apart from Naru.
Have a great day and stay safe.
Sincerely,
Julia

There's a link to an Amazon page for another free story as well. In this one she can see Death Angels. It sounds interesting.
