Busiest Pet sitting weekend, Story Snippet, and Apartment Hunting!

Hi everyone,
I'm late I'm late for a very important date...So, I maaaaay be a bit behind today with getting you you're weekly NL today. I ended up getting an extension of my semi-vacation. 1 of my overnight pet sits got canceled the day of and another got pushed back a day. But I still have quite a few walks and drops ins this week since the Fourth of July tends to be the busiest weekend of the year. The first 2 sets of covid cautious roommates in Boston didn't work out, but I'm still keeping my fingers and toes crossed that something else will come through soon.
On the publishing front, I fell down on the job with edits this week since I was in a teeny tiny flare-up, but I'm hoping to make up for that today and tomorrow. In the meantime, I plucked out another snippet for you from Amy's Betrayal, the sequel to Amy's Rebellion. This one has part of a fight and magic hunters.
What's a book or an author who wrote the most unexpected plot twist you've encountered?
For me that's tough, but I think the plot twist in Winterwood threw me for a bit of a loop. Most books don't do that for me.
That's all for now.
Have a great day and stay safe!
Sincerely,
Julia (they/he)
