Hi everyone,

I hope you're having a great week. For those of you in the U.S., I hope you have an awesome Thanksgiving. We're planning to do a mini celebration at home, and I'm going to be honest I'm mostly looking forward to that sweet sweet paid holiday and the delicious food of course.

Before we get into the writing and publishing updates, I have a cute dog picture for you. We fostered this adorable older dog for a few days. Her name is Missy. She's cute, but with a fiery personality that landed her in dogo jail aka the crate. She has an amazing foster home that's a much better fit, so it worked out in the end.

For "Gabriel is Cursed" I've officially set the release date for December 15th of this year. In honor of the upcoming release, I have a Black Friday deal coming up for "Spellbound." It's going to be available for FREE on Amazon from November 27th to December 1st. if you want to check it out.

Updates on the cover and the cover reveal. I just got the preliminary sketches for the second book cover in the series, and I'm super excited with how it looks so far and love the use of the cracked mirror.

I'm going to put the book up on pre-order on Amazon before the Black Friday deal on Spellbound, so if you have any ideas as far as giveaway prizes you'd like to see for the pre-order contest, let me know. The way it will work is you can enter the contest by purchasing the pre-order and then you can earn additional entries by posting about the release on social media.

As far as writing goes, I've gotten some great progress on my short story. I'm at 11,400 words for the story of Chikyuu and Engetsu. I'm at about the midpoint turn, so it's definitely going to need major trimming. If you're interested in seeing snippets once it's done, let me know by sending an email.

When it comes to "Belladonna was Betrayed," I've gotten to 45,124 words which is awesome. Belladonna's traveling by train and you get to see some parallels between her and Rose here.

As of writing this on Friday, I've gotten about 37,000 words done this month which is awesome. Hopefully, I can get even more done this weekend.

And finally, I have another preview for you. In this chapter, Rose tries coffee for the first time and Gabriel finds something he isn't supposed to in the library.

Preview-

  • Here is the newest "Gabriel is Cursed" preview. This one is Chapter 7!

Upcoming Cover Reveal-

  • I have a form you can fill out to be part of my cover reveal team for "Gabriel is Cursed." The form is here if you're interested.

This week, I've even been getting back into doing some mini yoga sessions instead of being a couch potato all the time. But, I've still been watching a lot of Netflix and recently starting reading a few comics. I'm really enjoying this one on Tapas called "Villains are Destined to Die." And my most recent Netflix obsession is "Kipo and the Wonderbeasts" I just finished it because it was recommended after I devoured all of the episodes for "The Owl House." Still not sure why I like the kids shows more than adult ones. Maybe because they have better representation, but they're also magical and fun? I'm on the hunt for some recommendations, so tell me.

What's a recent favorite show for you?

That's all I've got for you today. Have a great day and stay safe.

Sincerely,

Julia
