What do you like about working at Ville Painters?
I love the commitment to the customer experience along with the family nature of the company. When we're at our best, we are all focused on customer service and experience. Most painters can paint walls and trim well, but it takes true professionals to give the customer an enjoyable experience.

I feel the future is bright for Ville painters. We have a great core group of top quality professionals who are committed to quality work. They all seem to genuinely care about each other. They are all excited to learn about new products and equipment and put them to use in an effort to be constantly improving their craft.
What’s the best part about what Ville does for the community?
I love being a part of a company that is committed to giving back. Whether it's supporting the arts through various sponsorships, donating our time and skills to local organizations, attending or helping with various community events, or just being kind and friendly people in the community, Ville is driven to constantly be a part of making the community a better place for everyone.
Tell us a little bit about your background and experience?
I grew up in Somerset, PA. I was always involved in sports in all manners. As I got older, I focused in on soccer, tennis, golf, and skiing and snowboarding. In 1991, my tennis coach offered me a job painting over the summers. We primarily focused on exterior projects. A lot of siding brushing, and barn painting.
I continued working for him over summer breaks from college at Millersville University, where I graduated with degrees in Elementary and Early childhood education. After graduation, I worked at a before and after school program and summer camp. I decided to take a year away from education before I jumped into a career in education. I started painting with a company that did primarily new residential and commercial painting. I very quickly got a crash course in production painting with sprayers and lifts. Huge projects like Home depot, new schools, new restaurants, and other various large area stores and businesses gave me an opportunity to learn project and people management to meet expectations of the construction world.
In 1998, I was hired by Ville painters. This new opportunity introduced me to the higher end of professional painting. I fell in love with customer service side of painting. For the first time, I had customers that were focused on the quality of the work, not just when the project would be done.
Ville allowed me to grow expand my abilities by supporting me to learn about the faux and decorative side of the paint world. Ville has always supported its employees development by bringing in vendors to educate us on new products, equipment, and techniques.
As I continued grow and learn in this industry, I craved starting my own business. Steve was very supportive in my company's success. I never really was too far removed from Ville Painters. We worked together on many projects involving decorative and specialized painting or staining.
Now that I'm back with Ville, my major focus is handing off my years of experience and knowledge to the next generation of Ville painters. I've always believed that the sharing of knowledge and experience and an eagerness to constantly learn and grow is how the world and society move forward together towards greater things.
