Ville Painters Clinches APC Top Job Award 2023: The Story of Refurbishing the Iconic Haines Shoe House

We are thrilled to announce that Ville Painters has been honored with the prestigious APC Top Job Award for 2023 for our exceptional work on the Haines Shoe House! Situated between York and Lancaster in Pennsylvania, this iconic structure has been a roadside spectacle since 1948. Recently turned into a charming Airbnb, it required a full "resoling." Faced with challenges like rusted fire escapes and cracked stucco, our team rolled up their sleeves for what became an invaluable team-building exercise. Beyond just a facelift, our work has breathed new life into a beloved local landmark, ensuring it continues to capture imaginations for years to come. Employee Spotlight: Louis H.

What do you like about working at Ville Painters?

What I like about working for Ville Painters is the versatile atmosphere. All my coworkers have different backgrounds and it’s fun and exciting to work with such talented painters.

What do you see for the companies future?

What I see in the future for Ville Painters is new and upcoming apprentices, the future generation painters. What will it be like? What kind of exciting and new ideas will they come up with?

What’s the best part about being a grandparent?

In my personal experience, the best part about being a grandparent would be looking back at family. You are kind of in shock and awe at how fast the children grow and mature and this innocent child comes in to this world and you are suddenly snapped back into what life is really about, THE FUTURE, the next generation.

Tell us a little bit about your background and experience?

I am a 29 year painter and drywall artist. I was taught early to learn a trade from my grandfather and later in life my skills were honed by my brother in law Rob Rowe of RJR Painting based out of Bangor Pa. Painting is my passion and I am honored to be a part of Ville Painters in Lancaster Pa.
