What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese healing art that helps the body to engage its inner resources and promotes balance.
It is a gentle, non-manipulative light touch (or non-touch) that can help bring a client into a deep state of relaxation. In this state, levels of cortisol and adrenaline drop and it is easy for the client's body to relax and focus on self-healing.
During a typical session, the client is fully clothed, laying on a massage table. Most recipients report feeling rested, a sense of wellbeing and peace, pain relief, and better sleep.
Why do we offer Reiki at Village Wellness?
This wellness center was actually built with Reiki at its foundation. I started this practice in 1995 offering Reiki Sessions and training others in this mystical healing art. IT'S AMAZING and very restoring for the nervous system! If you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed and are looking for a completely non-invasive therapy - you gotta try Reiki!
Why did I choose Jennifer to practice Reiki at Village Wellness?
Jennifer is one of the most compassionate and caring individuals I have met. She discovered Reiki through her own healing journey through Breast cancer.
Reiki was such a profound instrument of healing for her that she decided to dedicate her life's work to using Reiki to not only help others feel better but also to help prevent disease in the first place.
