This is how I dress every single time I go to the bank and here's why. The first time this happened, I was dressed for a corporate event and I had to make a quick stop at the bank first. To my greatest surprise, I was welcomed warmly and treated very well - like this was so unusual. My needs were met on time and the teller who attended to me went over and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with his service. It didn't take me long to realise that the unusual treatment was owed to the way I was dressed, and that I had just discovered a premium modern-life-hack. Since then, every time I need to do some bank runs I ask myself: "What would the branch manager wear today?" Disclaimer: This tip might not produce the same results for the opposite gender. Guys just join the queue jejely. It's a tough life. Oh, and ladies... for best results, ensure your perfume matches the look. 😉

A couple of weeks back, I made a detailed analysis of the current state of my freelance business, and two separate projections of where it could be in the next few years. Projection A - Involves growing an engaged audience through social media, email marketing and valuable content. The outcome of this projection is much desired. Projection B - Involves focusing only on my clients and doing my job well. The outcome of this projection is not bad, to be honest, but still quite far from desired. There and then, I made a decision to take the bull by the balls (pardon my language) and work towards Projection A. Only problem... I was camera shy, anti-social, and not exactly a blogger. I'm still camera shy, anti-social... but did you read the latest article on my blog? Hehe. I'm on fire now. 💃🏽 This reminds me of times in the past when I pushed myself out of my comfort zone for a specific end goal. Goals were always met, and I never had regrets, so this is definitely a journey worth taking. #RemoteWorkDiaries WORKING REMOTELY, BUT NOT FROM HOME. WHY? I was never very productive working from home. Even with the whole office setup in my room, the temptation to take a nap everytime I hit a snag was REAL! So I switched to working at my mom's office for a while. But then, that was all work and no play. Like, who would I even play with? It was a very serious setting. Then, Value Flow Trading Floor ( @valueflowtrading ) came along. So now I have a really cool workspace to myself at the floor. Here are the highlights of going to the trading floor every day for me. (I do not trade, by the way.) • Well, boredom is out of the picture now: While I do enjoy my solitude while working, it's nice to take a break every now and then, and have a chat with a millenial or a fellow gen-z. It boosts my productivity, even. • I get to hang with my tribe By "my tribe", I mean people who share similar goals, ideas and visions to mine. • I'm around tech-savvy individuals. You can never go wrong around tech-savvies. I get to help out others, and get helped when I run into issues I can't handle alone. In general though, I became about 40% more productive when I started working at my mom's (being in solitude all day). But it was toxic productivity. There were no distractions, so I rarely pulled away from my computer. Usually leaving me drained after the day's work. My productivity level dropped by about 20% when I moved to the VFT floor, which is not a bad thing at all. In fact, it's super healthy and fun. I don't get drained like I used to, but I also get a decent amount of work done daily.
