4 Ways ChatGPT Has Improved My Life
Apr 16, 2023 5:31 pm
Hey friends,
Today, I want to share with you how ChatGPT has improved my life. By emulating the relationship I have with this AI, you too can benefit from its features.
I tried out ChatGPT approximately three days after its launch and immediately recognized how I could use this tool to ease my workflow and make some extra cash on the side. If you haven't yet figured out ChatGPT's place in your life, this is for you! Here are four areas of my life where I regularly use ChatGPT to improve my performance:
1. Tackle School Work.
I study civil engineering and use ChatGPT for assignments, including calculations, tables, graphs, and calculus. Not only does it correctly complete the assignments 99.99% of the time, but it also explains the steps to me, allowing me to defend my work. I also use the AI tool as a study bud sometimes. When I have difficulty with a particular topic, I ask it questions, and it simplifies the topic as much as I need it to.

2. Improve My Writing.
Although I do not use ChatGPT to create content for my personal blog and newsletter, as those are based on my experience, it helps me immensely with proofreading, grammar and spelling checks, and summarization. I use it in conjunction with Notion AI β an AI writing tool that is integrated into my digital workspace and powered by GPT-3.5 β for editing after writing. I write two other blogs that are not based on my experience, and for these, I use ChatGPT to generate the entire content. I provide the tool with a headline, key points, and directions, and it does the job in less than a minute.
3. Reduce Workload In My Business.
I run a one-man web design business. Before ChatGPT, I used WordHero (also powered by GPT-3.5) to write website copies. However, these AI-generated copies usually required a lot of editing because they were often rigid. WordHero doesn't allow for detailed prompts, so the output isn't as sophisticated or natural as I would like.
With ChatGPT, there's plenty of room for making detailed prompts, resulting in more sophisticated and seemingly natural outputs that require little to no editing. This saves me hours of work and effort. Plus, the results are better than anything I could have come up with on my own, so my clients are more impressed with my copies.

4. Increase My Income
I know you'll like this part, . Here's how I increased my income with ChatGPT. Many of my clients want additional deliveries like lead magnets and sales copies for their landing pages. Before ChatGPT, I would usually say, "No, I don't offer those services, but I can recommend someone." But since meeting ChatGPT, my response has been, "Sure, I can throw those in for some extra hundred dollars." ChatGPT does an amazing job and I'm great at design, so our collaboration produces nothing short of perfection, which makes my clients happy. The more happy clients, the more referrals, and the more money I make.
So, there goes, four major ways I use ChatGPT to remarkably enhance my life. I am experimenting with new use cases for the tool in other areas of my life and work, and I will be sure to keep you updated.
Do you want to integrate ChatGPT into your life too? Keep in mind that it's a computer, and its outputs will only be as good as the prompts you provide. In other words, "garbage in, garbage out." If you're not confident in the quality of your prompts, you may want to consult a βprompt bible.β Fortunately, I've compiled my top 100 ChatGPT prompts into a downloadable PDF file for the Digital Discourse community. You can get it for free, but there's a catch: you have to bring 3 people. Lol.
Yes, I am running this giveaway as a Ponzi scheme. To participate, share your unique invitation link: with three friends and ask them to subscribe to Digital Discourse. Once they subscribe, you will receive my top 100 ChatGPT prompts via email. These prompts cover a wide range of writing tasks, including generating articles, essays, lead magnets, website copies, sales copies, solving questions, proofreading, editing, summarizing, writing functional code, and a special section of prompts to use when writing your final year project.
Talk to you next Sunday.
Cheers,
Viki π
