Hey Friends,

Today we’ll be looking at 6 ways to make money online using ChatGPT. If you have not been progressively blown away since the launch of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, then you simply haven’t done enough research on it. Periodt! If you don’t know what ChatGPT is, OMG! 😱 Read this first: Chat GPT Explained

Before going any further, this might be a great time to announce that OpenAI has put a price on their breakthrough baby! Remember I told you this would happen in my previous article? Now, this is not a limitation. You still have access to ChatGPT... You just won’t be able to access it as easily as before, until you upgrade for $20/month. Details are in the image below. I say “until” because you WILL upgrade once you start making money from this baby! Unless you completely ignore my emails, there’s no way you won’t end up making money from ChatGPT.

Okay, so let’s dive in! How can you make money using ChatGPT? We’re going to be looking at 6 unique business models that are so niched down, not many people are using them. Giving you an advantage over those using ChatGPT to write e-books to sell on Amazon KDP. — Which is arguably the most popular of all ChatGPT income streams.

Leggo!

1. Content creation

Now, this is also a popular way to make money using ChatGPT — duh, but as I said, we’re going to be niching down so that we are at an advantage. Here’s how this model works.

  • Create a faceless blog targeted at a very specific audience (e.g dog trainers, science fiction book lovers, etc.), preferably a European audience (Yunno, because we’re going where the money is. Hehe).

  • Use ChatGPT to write 2 to 4 blog posts daily.

  • It typically takes a year or more to monetize a blog if you’re posting once a week. Now, because you’re using ChatGPT, you only need an average of 30 minutes to write and publish a blog post, given that you’re not trying to infuse your personality into the content (it’s a faceless blog). That is, 20 minutes for SEO research and 10 minutes for content generation. In 1 hour, you have 2 articles ready for publishing. Your blog should be monetizable within 3 - 4 months, and you don’t even need to know much about dog training or science fiction books.

  • You can batch up content writing and do it only on weekends.

  • You can also create multiple blogs. This isn’t weird at all — I have 3 blogs and you probably only know about one.

  • Once you hit 1000 monthly readers (or even less), you can monetize your blog with Google AdSense, affiliate marketing, and sponsored ads.

2. Website copywriting

Did you know that the average website copywriter makes anywhere between $200 to $2000 per website copy? With ChatGPT, the knowledge gap between yourself and the average website copywriter is bridged.

You don’t need to have copywriting skills to begin, just be smart enough to prompt the AI correctly, and you’ll be able to provide this service with a breeze. You can find clients on freelance service platforms like Upwork and Fiverr, or send cold emails to prospects you find on LinkedIn. Don’t forget to write your cold emails with ChatGPT. 😏

3. Develop and sell an online course

This one is for people who already have a business or an audience and want to leverage ChatGPT to make extra income. Let’s say, for example, you make scented candles (I’m obsessed with these lately). There are a lot of people who are interested in learning how to do what you do!

  • Tell ChatGPT your process and ask it to outline a course.

  • Prompt it to flesh up each module/segment. Voila! You have your own online course!

  • Put a price on it, prompt our dear buddy to write marketing copies, and even have it brainstorm ideas on how best to sell your course.

  • You can choose to video record the course, sell it as a text-based course (ebook or email), or host it in a closed WhatsApp/Telegram group like a proud Nigerian coach and have your students call you “Coach Chioma” Lol. Who cares? as long as you’re making your money and providing value in return.

4. Provide research services

If you read my blog much, you’d know that I started out this whole earning online journey as a research virtual assistant. What this means is that I searched the internet from 9 to 5 every weekday, — at least that’s what my clients thought — consolidated my findings into a simple list every Friday, and emailed it off to them.

God, I wish I had ChatGPT then. 🙄 I would’ve worked one hour a day and spent the rest of the day planning my next big thing. Well, research assistance is still high in demand today, so if you have any form of interest in research, or becoming a virtual assistant. Hehe, you’re in luck.

5. Lead magnets as a service

A lead magnet is anything that you can offer to a stranger in exchange for their contact information. Freelance copywriters make around $100 to $500 per lead magnet because businesses are willing to pay for a tailored lead magnet, rather than use a random Public Label Rights e-book.

  • You can offer lead magnet creation as a service to small businesses online and use ChatGPT to quickly write tailored lead magnets.

  • Lead magnets can be e-books, checklists, workbooks, and other forms of text-based guides.

  • Use Canva to design covers for your lead magnets. PS: Even if you don’t have a single bone of design in you, you can’t go wrong using free templates. — Unless, of course, if your village people sabi book well. 🌚

6. Develop a SaaS using OpenAI’s GPT-3 API

I made this last because it’s for the Odogwus of programming. — Or not. Depends. Remain calm, I shall explain.

OpenAI offers its APIs for absolutely free! What this means is — you see that same technology that powers ChatGPT? You can plug into it, develop your own app or software around it, and offer that app or software to users for a monthly fee. Here are some ideas of SaaS’s you can build with OpenAI’s GPT-3 model.

By the way, SaaS stands for Software as a Service.

  1. AI-driven content curation: Use GPT-3 to curate content from multiple sources, such as RSS feeds and social media, and deliver it to users in an automated and personalized way.
  2. Job search advisor: A virtual job search advisor that can provide personalized advice and recommendations based on a user’s skills and experience.
  3. Language translation: A language translation tool that can quickly and accurately translate text from one language to another.
  4. Resume builder: An AI-driven resume builder that can create personalized resumes for job seekers.
  5. Product recommendation engine: A product recommendation engine that can recommend products to customers based on people’s interests and preferences. This will work perfectly with affiliate marketing.
  6. Email marketing assistant: An AI-driven email marketing assistant that can automate the process of creating, sending, and managing email campaigns.

How can you do this if you’re not a developer? Great question. Hire a developer!

I hope we can agree on one thing. ChatGPT provides a wealth of options to help you make a living. By leveraging its power, any business can create unique and tailored services that will help it stand out from the competition. With basic skills and knowledge, you can use ChatGPT to create a steady income stream that will help you reach your financial goals. - I didn’t write this final paragraph 😉 …or the SaaS ideas.

Now, let me go off and do my 10-page assignment which I need to submit tomorrow morning with ChatGPT

Talk to you soon,

Viki
